Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl leads the Knocked Up cast as up-and-coming entertainment journalist Allison Scott.
This Knocked Up cast member’s career has been on the fast track with increasing success in film and television.
Heigl began her entertainment career as a child model, signing with Wilhelmina modeling agency at the age of nine. Commercials and modeling assignments for Cheerios, Lord and Taylor, Sears and Seventeen soon followed.
Heigl’s first big television success came for her portrayal of a teenaged alien in UPN’s hit series Roswell. Apatow began his career as a stand up comic in Long Island. In 1988, he joined the cast of Comic Strip Live. He crossed over from stand-up to writing in the early nineties, working with Tom and Roseanne Arnold on The Naked Truth, Class Clowns and the HBO special Roseanne Arnold. He also wrote for the 1994 Grammy’s and for a CBS special honoring Clint Eastwood.
